Jordy Wilken

HORKA will actively promote the sport of eventing through its collaboration with event rider Jordy Wilken. "The feeling of freedom and interaction with nature and the environment make eventing a wonderful sport and activity. The bond that is created from the cooperation between the human and horse remains special and can be incredibly strong. HORKA shares the feeling of freedom, and we see it reflected in eventing. We are a total supplier of equestrian, horse and stable products, and we want to play an active role in eventing with our products. The equestrian marketing agency Triple V put us in contact with Jordy Wilken. Jordy is a passionate eventer who is ambitious, no nonsense and very hard working. All these qualities fit well with the core values of our company," says Bart Horst, director of HORKA International bv.

Jordy is very pleased with the collaboration. "HORKA is a really great company. I won't forget our conversation in the showroom at the headquarters in Zwolle. I was really overwhelmed that HORKA manufactures and sells such a wide range of products. That's why I'm proud to be able to promote HORKA's name and products."

Ingeborg Klooster

Ingeborg Klooster is a successful dressage rider who is daily involved in training, preparing for competition and training dressage horses. She specializes in Friesians, yet there are currently many KWPN horses in her training. Ingeborg is a loyal ambassador of HORKA and is sponsored by them for several years. Ingeborg learned about the current collection through a colleague at HORKA.

"I was amazed in the showroom! I knew HORKA from the caps and rubber riding boots back from my pony days and had no idea that HORKA had now so many trendy products for riders and horses!"
Ingeborg's favorite products are the vests (Florida & Luna) and shirts (Miami & Jersey) made from the technical fabrics, which are also available with polygenic treatment to prevent unpleasant odors.

Ingeborg has already prepared several horses up to the high classes. Ingeborg's best success to date was a 5th place with her horse Hoppe van de Demro Stables in advanced class at the Dutch Championships in 2011.

A few years later Hoppe and Ingeborg eventually went Grand Prix and also placed 5th in the small final of the Grand Prix at the Dutch Championships in 2014.

We asked Ingeborg what she thinks is the most important thing she teaches her students during their training.

"It is very important that you always listen to your feeling. Look at your horse, feel what is going on and respond to it. This applies to riding as well as the care around it. There is a lot said about this in books, videos and training, you can take this into consideration. Make sure there is plenty of pasture for your horse and variety in the work. This will keep your horse fresh and in balance.
